MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 8, 2017 <br />insurance certificates. He stated that the Council should approve the <br />contract with MBRB and the hunt rules for both the MBRB areas and the <br />Sculley's property at 3000 Labore Road. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION 2017-11-208 A UTHORIZING THE 2017 DEER <br />CONTROL PROGRAM, AND APPROVING THE 2017 METRO <br />BOWHUNTERS RESOUCE BASE CONTRACT AND HUNT R ULES <br />FOR BOTH THE MBRB AND SCULLEY FAMILY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Torkelson. <br />Aye (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />AMEND OPT -OUT The City Administrator explained that the City has had an opt -out policy <br />POLICY for many years for employees with families, but who had health insurance <br />coverage through a spouse. He stated that with the health insurance rule <br />changes, it is now possible for younger single employees to remain on <br />their parent's health insurance policy until they are 26 years old. He noted <br />that staff is proposing a $250 per month opt -out amount for single, full- <br />time employees who retain their health insurance coverage through a <br />parent and provide us documentation of same. <br />Fischer stated he thinks it is a reasonable change. <br />McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 2017-11-209 APPROVE AMENDING THE OPT -OUT <br />POLICY FOR SINGLE FULL TIME EMPLOYEES WHO RETAIN <br />HEALTHINSURANCE COVERAGE THROUGHA PARENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Aye (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RENOVATIONS The City Administrator explained that this property at 2955/2957 Arcade <br />AT 2955/2957 Street has been discussed several times. He reported that it previously was <br />ARCADE STREET a non -conforming duplex and the duplex use lapsed in 2014 due to non- <br />use. He stated that in 2015, the City entered into an agreement with the <br />owner Roger Berres, to oversee the rehabilitation of his property that <br />would enable us to re -authorize the duplex status. However, Mr. Berres <br />did not follow through with that agreement due to concerns over the work <br />
