MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 20, 2017 <br />zoning code allows garages in excess of 1,000 square feet by conditional <br />use permit. The Associate Planner stated that the proposed garage would <br />meet the required setbacks, and does not encroach into the rear yard. She <br />noted that when a conditional use permit is issued for a garage exceeding <br />1,000 square feet, the parcel is no longer eligible for a garden shed, and <br />the applicants have been made aware of this. The property does not <br />currently have a shed. <br />The Associate Planner stated that the proposal appears to be consistent <br />with the zoning code requirements, and staff recommends approval of the <br />conditional use permit subject to the conditions that: <br />1. No business activities shall occur within the garage structure; <br />2. The parcel shall no longer be eligible for an accessory shed. <br />Todd College, 886 Woodland Drive, stated they are requesting to add on <br />to their existing garage for storage. <br />Upon motion by Keis, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION 2017-11-214 APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT FOR 886 WOODLAND DRIVE UP TO 1,157 SQUARE <br />FEET SUBJECT TO THE CONDITIONS IN THE PLANNER'S <br />REPORT.- <br />1. <br />EPORT.1. NO BUSINESS ACTIVITIES SHALL OCCUR WITHIN <br />THE GARAGE STR UCTURE <br />2. THE PARCEL SHALL NO LONGER BE ELIGIBLE FOR <br />ANACCESSORY SHED <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Aye (5). <br />Nays (0).
