MINUTES CITY COUNCIL NOVEMBER 20, 2017 PURCHASE OF A The Public Works Director explained that we have been sharing a sewer SANITARY service camera with Vadnais Heights since 2004, and it has stopped SEWER SERVICE working now and the technology is too old to repair. He stated that CAMERA Vadnais Heights has chosen to buy their own camera. He noted that the existing camera records to VHS tapes which are hard to find now, and the new camera records to a flash drive. Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTIONNO. 2017-11-219 APPROVE THE PURCHASE OFA NEWSANITARYSEWER SERVICE CAMERA FOR $10,193.11 FROMFERGUSON WATERWORKS The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. 2018 DEER The City Administrator reported that the first deer control hunt was CONTROL conducted this past weekend, and between the Sculley family and the PROGRAM Metro Bowhunters, they have gotten 10 deer. He explained that the initial UPDATE number the Council authorized to take was 10, but the bowhunters recommend continuing the hunt based on the amount of deer that they saw. The City Administrator stated that he has received several complaints from residents about the amount of deer, and the county has not been able to do a count over the past two years due to the lack of snow. There was Council consensus to allow six more deer to be taken. Fischer stated that he has heard numerous people ask when the turkeys would be hunted. The City Administrator stated that he has not found a good way to hunt turkeys since the bowhunters group has not wanted to do it and the hunting seasons do not match up. He stated he would ask the North Oaks City Administrator how they are handling their turkey hunt. ADJOURN There being no further business, the regular meeting was adjourned at 9:01 P.M. John,f.
