MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />NOVEMBER 20, 2017 <br />PURCHASE OF A <br />The Public Works Director explained that we have been sharing a sewer <br />SANITARY <br />service camera with Vadnais Heights since 2004, and it has stopped <br />SEWER SERVICE <br />working now and the technology is too old to repair. He stated that <br />CAMERA <br />Vadnais Heights has chosen to buy their own camera. He noted that the <br />existing camera records to VHS tapes which are hard to find now, and the <br />new camera records to a flash drive. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2017-11-219 APPROVE THE PURCHASE OFA <br />NEWSANITARYSEWER SERVICE CAMERA FOR $10,193.11 <br />FROMFERGUSON WATERWORKS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />2018 DEER The City Administrator reported that the first deer control hunt was <br />CONTROL conducted this past weekend, and between the Sculley family and the <br />PROGRAM Metro Bowhunters, they have gotten 10 deer. He explained that the initial <br />UPDATE number the Council authorized to take was 10, but the bowhunters <br />recommend continuing the hunt based on the amount of deer that they <br />saw. The City Administrator stated that he has received several <br />complaints from residents about the amount of deer, and the county has <br />not been able to do a count over the past two years due to the lack of <br />snow. There was Council consensus to allow six more deer to be taken. <br />Fischer stated that he has heard numerous people ask when the turkeys <br />would be hunted. The City Administrator stated that he has not found a <br />good way to hunt turkeys since the bowhunters group has not wanted to do <br />it and the hunting seasons do not match up. He stated he would ask the <br />North Oaks City Administrator how they are handling their turkey hunt. <br />ADJOURN There being no further business, the regular meeting was adjourned at <br />9:01 P.M. <br />John,f.
