CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />ORDINANCE NO. 822 <br />AN ORDINANCE TO ENACT A NEW CHAPTER OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES TO ADMINISTER AND REGULATE THE PUBLIC RIGHTS OF <br />WAY IN THE PUBLIC INTEREST, AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE ISSUANCE <br />AND REGULATION OF RIGHT OF WAY PERMITS <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />ORDAINS: Chapter 2302 is amended as follows: <br />Section 1 <br /> SUMMARY PUBLICATION. Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 412.191, in the <br />case of a lengthy ordinance, a summary may be published. While a copy of the entire <br />ordinance is available without cost at the office of the City Clerk, the following summary <br />is approved by the City Council and shall be published in lieu of publishing the entire <br />ordinance: <br />The purpose of this ordinance is to amend the City Code to provide the City of <br />Little Canada with the authority to regulate the use of public rights of way by <br />telecommunications right-of-way users and to address “small cell site” locations <br />due to recent statutory changes. This ordinance subjects those users to local <br />regulations by the City to manage their rights of way and to recover management <br />costs. <br />Section 2 <br />Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its passage and <br />publication. <br />ADOPTED by the City Council of Little Canada this 20th day of December, 2017. <br />CITY OF LITTLE CANADA <br />BY: John T.
