MINUTES CITY COUNCIL DECEMBER 20, 2017 The City Administrator stated that there is designated wetland area on Mr. Sculley's property that cannot be developed. 2018 The City Cleric stated that the terms for Bill Buesing, Chris Kwapick and APPOINTMENTS Eric Thorson will expire on December 31, 2017, and that all three have TO THE reapplied for the Planning Commission. She reported that Commissioner PLANNING Nick Sandell has also informed staff that he will be moving out of the City COMMISSION in spring 2018, so the remainder of his term will also need to be filled after AND SELECTION he resigns. She stated that four applications in addition to the incumbents OF THE 2018 were received for the Planning Commission, and the interview committee CHAIR is recommending that Bill Buesing, Chris Kwapick and Eric Thorson be reappointed for 3 -year terms, and Nicole George be appointed to fill the remainder of Nick Sandell's term through December 2019. She explained that Ms. George will not officially be appointed until after Mr. Sandell resigns, but staff has encouraged her to begin attending the Planning Commission meetings in order to be involved with the upcoming Comprehensive Plan discussions. McGraw introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOL UTION NO. 2017-12-237 ACCEPT THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE INTERVIEW COMMITTEE TO REAPPOINT BILL BUSSING, CHRIS KWAPICKAND ERIC THORSON TO 3 -YEAR TERMS ON THE PLANNING COMMISSION, AND APPOINT NICOLE GEORGE TO REPLACE NICK SANDELL AFTER HIS RESIGNATION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. Ayes (4). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2017-12-238 APPOINT BILL B UESING TO BE THE PLANNING COMMISSION CHAIR IN 2018 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw.
