MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />DECEMBER 14, 2017 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 14th day of <br />December, 2017 in the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair Bill Buesing called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION: Mr. Bill Buesing <br />Mr. Nick Schwalbach <br />Mr. Chris Kwapick <br />Mr. Nick Sandell <br />Ms. Taelor Johnson <br />Mr. Eric Thorson <br />Ms. Dawn Kulousek <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Ms. Jessica Jagoe, Associate Planner <br />Ms. Heidi Heller, City Clerk <br />Mr. Kevin Helander, Cable TV Tech <br />MINUTES The November 9, 2017 Planning Commission meeting minutes were <br />approved as submitted. <br />PLANNED UNIT <br />The Associate Planner reported that Mr. Meyer, owner of Pete's Sewer & <br />DEVELOPMENT <br />Water, submitted another site plan option this morning after reviewing the <br />PERMIT <br />staff report. She explained that staff met with him today and he will be <br />AMENDMENT FOR <br />submitting another plan that gets the site closer to complying with the I-1, <br />OUTDOOR STORAGE <br />Light Industrial zoning requirements. She stated that Staff has suggested <br />AND ALLOW <br />eliminating the center storage area since Staff feels that it will be difficult <br />OUTDOOR STORAGE <br />to contain the items and maintain the required drive aisles on both sides. <br />IN FRONT YARD <br />AREA AT 3151 She explained that due to the lack of rear yard, staff does feel that there is a <br />COUNTRY DRIVE; reason to vary from some of the requirements, but Staff is trying to get to a <br />APPLICANT: MEYER better balance between what the applicant wants and what the code <br />COMPANIES requirements are. She noted that the two adjacent properties to the west <br />PROPERTY OWNER: have variances to allow storage in front of the front line of the building, but <br />PRAIRIE CAPITAL, are held to maintaining a 40 foot setback from Ryan Drive. <br />INC. <br />
