MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 9, 2002 <br />Tocus on City-wide Code Enforcement. <br />Council reviewed Che City-wide Code >rnforcement action plan and agreed that a <br />workshop should be scheduled for July 24'x' at 6:30 p.m. to identify code enforcement <br />issues and concerns and determine policy direction. Council suggested that the <br />Planning Commission be invited to attend this workshop. <br />Turnquist/Yahnen I'ronertV Issues. <br />Council reviewed the Turnquis[/Palmen Property Issues action plan. The City <br />Administrator noted that a development plan for this property has been submitted. <br />However, the submittal was incomplete and staff is waiting for additional information <br />before scheduling revie~n~ by the Planning Commission and City Council. <br />Acquire Easements for ~gissing Trail Sections. <br />Council reviewed this action plan noting that staff is preparing a detailed report on <br />the missing trail sections. Consensus of the Council was to hold a workshop meeting <br />on October 9'~' to review This report and decide on a course of action. <br />Promote Little Canada Identity. <br />Council reviewed this action plan and it was suggested that this was a task that should <br />be handled by a committee. Anderson suggested that input should be obtained from <br />the Canadian Days Committee and the Parks & Recreation Commission on this <br />subject. <br />The City Administrator suggested that he discuss this with the president of Canadian <br />Days to determine if the Committee would have any interest in providing input on <br />this matter. <br />Fahey suggested that the Council hold a workshop meeting on November 13'x' on this <br />topic. <br />Acquire Sites to Preven[ L,andlockint. <br />Council reviewed this proposed action plan and agreed that a workshop meeting was <br />needed to review sites that have the potential to be landlocked and to develop a <br />course of action to addressing this issue. It was noted that some sites have ah~eady <br />been identifed as part o('a thoroughfare plan review, but that there are other sites that <br />should be looked at as well. <br />4 <br />
