miNUTCs <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 14, 2002 <br />Duane Stroman, Stroman Construction, reported that Poolside is agreeable <br />to the City Administr'ator's recommendation. He also noted that Poolside <br />has revised their architectural plans in response to recommendations made <br />by the Planning Commission. It was also noted that Xcel Energy has <br />begun the process ofmoving the electrical service fi~om the City's <br />manhole on County Road C. <br />Council reviewed the three options outlined in the Administrator's repor7 <br />for truck tragic access to the Poolside sire. These include: <br />• Gxtend Jaclaon to County Road C and improve to current design <br />standards. <br />• Create another access point to County Road C within Poolside's <br />property using the parkin<~ land on the west side of the building as <br />ali«nment. <br />• Improve existing Jackson Street to commercial (9-ton) standards. <br />It was noted that siaf7~s recommendation includes the following: <br />o Change the designation of~Jadaon Street to 5-ton, post the road, <br />and actively enforce this limitation durim~ the road-posting season. <br />a Initiate a neighborhood meeting, this fall to discuss improvement to <br />Jachson Street in the ?00> improvement cycle. <br />Allow Poolside to continue to use Jackson Street subject to no <br />parking OCGUI'i"Ing Oil Street, SUb~eCt t0 $-ton weight I-0St1'ICY1011S <br />during the posting season, and subject to their written <br />aclaio~n~led~~emm~t to donate 20 feet of additional road easement <br />from their nor(h property line to the south end of their access <br />opening. <br />Fahey asked about the leasibility of an additional access to County Road C <br />given the grade ditierences. The Public Works Director responded that <br />while the ~~radc is steep, it is feasible to bring in another access to County <br />Road C on the west side of the building- <br />Montour asked if the cornice treatments recommended by the Planning <br />Commission on the new addition would be can~ied over onto the existing <br />building. Stroman replied that the same concrete and same color used for <br />the existing building will be used on the addition.
