This would occur on Poolside's property and
allow h'r~icks to tuns onto Jaclaon Sweet sharper without trespassing on the
property across the street.
La Valle reported that he has been contacted by the Jackson Street
residents regarding outdoor storage on the poolside property. Stroman
reported that this storage will be eliminated. All materials being stored
outside will be moved inside the ne~n~ building addition. Stroman
acknowledged that there arc some junl: vehicles on the property and these,
too, will he eliminated
Montour noted the existing ~'xrtdoor display area. The City Administrator
believes poolside has a CUP for the outdoor display area. Stroman
reported that the current outdoor display area will be displaced by the
proposed building addition. It is Poolside's plan to redesign the outdoor
display area and come bacl: to the City for approval of a new Conditional
Use Permit as well as approval of a revised signage plan.
La Valle stated that it was dillicult for him to ai>prove Poolside's plan at
this i)oint without drawings sho~n~ing the uu'nin~~ radius described by
Stroman. Fahey suggested that any approval could be subject to the City
Planner's and City h~:ngineer's review to ensure that the turning radius
would work as described.
The Public Works Director sho~a~ed a site plan on which he sketched his
impression of the turnln~? radius that Stroman described. Stroman noted
that the revised turning radius would not allow trucks or vehicles exiting
the property to turn left. Fahey suggested that this exit from poolside onto
Jackson S(rect could be marked righ(-turn only.
Montour pointed out the narrow width ofJaclson Street and asked if
vehicles would encroach onto the o~'~posite lane when making their turning
maneuver. Su'oman replied (hat longer vehicles would likely encroach
into the opposite lane when (urning °fhe City administrator noted that the
same issue would be present Ibr vehicles leaving the poolside site and
turning onto County Road C. This would be a more serious traffic conflict
on Comity Road C given the higher h'ahlic levels on that street. The City
