MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 9, 2018 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />BIDS FOR THE The City Administrator explained that the architect has put together a bid <br />OLD FIRE HALL package which is within the budget, but he has made a suggested change <br />EXTERIOR to switch the side and rear walls from tuckpointing and painting to stucco. <br />IMPROVEMENTS He stated that it is an additional cost of $10,000 in costs but should be a <br />more permanent fix to the cracking in addition to looking better. He noted <br />that staff has reviewed the plans and is satisfied with the proposal. Keis <br />asked if the Old Fire Hall Committee should review the change proposal <br />before it is decided on. Fischer stated that he likes the stucco and thinks it <br />will look better. The City Administrator suggested sending out a ballot <br />and the committee could vote rather than try to get everyone together. <br />There was Council consensus to poll the Old Fire Hall Committee before <br />deciding whether to paint or stucco the side and rear walls. <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018-5-95 —AWARD THE BIDS FOR <br />IMPROVEMENTS AT THE OLD FIRE HALL FOR: MASONRY, <br />METALS, ROOFING COPING & PATCHING, HOLLOW METAL <br />DOORS, AWNINGS, OVERHEAD DOOR DECALS, FLAGPOLE, <br />MECHANICAL -HVA C, ELECTRICAL, $400 FOR THE DUMPSTER <br />AND $7,400 IN CONTINGENCIES. THE TUCKPOINTING, <br />PAINTING AND STAINING BIDS WILL BE HELD PENDING THE <br />S UR VE Y RES UL TS FROM THE OLD FIRE HALL COMMITTEE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution adopted. <br />RESCHEDULE The City Administrator stated that he will be out of town the week of June <br />JUNE 13, 2018 11 and is requesting the June 13, 2018 Council meeting be rescheduled to <br />CITY COUNCIL June 6, 2018. <br />MEETING <br />Montour introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2018-5-96 — RESCHED ULE THE JUNE 13, 2018 <br />CITY COUNCIL MEETING TO WEDNESDAY, JUNE 6, 2018 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Keis. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0).
