MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 9, 2018 <br />CITY Keis stated that the Council has received a letter of resignation from City <br />ADMINISTRATOR Administrator Joel Hanson. He explained that Mr. Hanson has been the <br />LETTER OF City Administrator for the last 28 years and has done an outstanding job. <br />RESIGNATION He stated that the City is in excellent shape and he credits that to Mr. <br />Hanson's leadership. The City Administrator stated that he has worked <br />with a lot of great Councils, Commissions and Staff, and leaving Little <br />Canada will be difficult. The Council accepts his resignation and will start <br />discussions immediately on the process for replacement. <br />RESIDENT John Sculley, 3000 Labore Road, stated that he was assured that there <br />COMMENT would be no damage to his property or water runoff from the Gervais <br />Woods development, but now due to the runoff, the small pond is now <br />four times bigger than it ever was. He explained there was a road on the <br />south end that they could drive cars on when he was growing up, but now <br />that road is underwater. He stated that he is being stymied and having <br />trouble selling his property because now there are wetlands, and cannot <br />use their property. He stated that he wants something done. <br />The City Administrator stated that he will have the City Engineer take a <br />look at this, but the City does not allow developments to impact adjacent <br />properties. He noted this is the first time this issue has come to his <br />attention. <br />CALL FOR A <br />The City Administrator stated that the Council is calling for a closed <br />CLOSED SESSION session at 8:37p.m. as authorized under State Statute 13D.05 Subd. 3, to <br />TO DISCUSS <br />discuss an offer to purchase 93 West Little Canada Road and give the <br />OFFER TO <br />Council an update. He explained that the regular Council meeting will be <br />PURCHASE 93 <br />adjourned and the Council will immediately go into closed session. He <br />WEST LITTLE <br />noted that the regular Council meeting will reconvene and then <br />CANADA ROAD <br />immediately adjourn after the closed session. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2018-5-102 —TEMPORARILY ADJO URNING <br />THE REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING AND CONVENING INTO <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The Council convened into closed session at 8:37p.m. <br />no <br />
