MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 28, 2002 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Scalze, Anderson, Montour, LaValle. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />CITY CENTER The City Administrator reported that he has a quote of $1,500 for <br />SCREENING replacement of the screening wall at the City Center. He indicated that <br />WALL the proposal includes replacement of the wall with wood. Given the <br />numerous utilities in this area of the City Center property, replacing the <br />wall with brick would be very expensive. The Administrator indicated <br />that at Council Member Scalze's request he investigated replacement of <br />the wall with a half brick over the wood. The cost of this would be <br />$4,000, and the contractor indicated that the wall may crack given there <br />would be no footings under it. <br />It was the consensus of the Council that staff have the screening wall <br />replaced at a cost of $1,500 as indicated by the City Administrator. <br />NORTHEAST The City Administrator reported that the Northeast Diagonal report will <br />DIAGONAL be submitted to the City shortly, and he asked if Counci] would like to <br />have a presentation of this report at an upcoming Council meeting. The <br />Council agreed that a presentation should be scheduled for both the benefit <br />of the Council and the general public. <br />ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-K-216 - AD.IOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) LaValle, Scalze, Anderson, Montour, Fahey. <br />Nays (0).
