MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
SEPTEMBER 25, 2002
The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Anderson.
Ayes (5) Fahey, Anderson, Montour, LaValle, Scalze.
Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
OUTDOOR Mayor Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider amending Section
STORAGE 918.040A. of the Little Canada City Code, known as the Zoning
Ordinance, by providing for changes to outdoor storage provisions in the
I-P, Industrial Park Zoning District. Fahey noted that the Planning
Commission recommended approval of the amendment as submitted.
The City Planner noted that the City recently approved a Conditional Use
Permit for outdoor storage for the Orius Corporation. If the Zoning Code
amendment is adopted as proposed, this would make Orius Corporation's
outdoor storage area a legally non-conforming use.
Scalze pointed out that this ordinance amendment would impact properties
in the I-P District, specifically property at South Owasso Blvd. and Spruce
Street, the Slumberland property, and the Precision Tree property.
The City Planner felt that the amendment was consistent with what other
cities are doing in their higher-end industrial parks.
There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on
this matter.
Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was
closed.
Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOL UTION NO. 2002-9-223 - ADOPTING AN ORDINANCE
AMENDING SECTION 9I8.040A.
