MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 9, 2002 <br />CONSENT <br />AGENDA <br />Industrial Park. Fahey asked if the Metropolitan Council will ask cities to amend <br />their comprehensive plans to be consistent with the Northeast Diagonal Study <br />recommendations. Vap replied that there are no discussions at this point about asking <br />communities to make changes. The first step is to get ideas from communities on <br />how they would redevelop if this transit corridor becomes a reality. <br />Fahey noted that implementation is a part of the Met Council's Transit 2020 plan. <br />The Council thanked Vap for her presentation. <br />Mr. Anderson introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002-10-233 -APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA <br />THAT CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: <br />xAPPOINTMENT OF ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE NOVEMBER 5, 2002 <br />GENERAL. ELECTION AS RECOMMENDED BY CITYSTAFF; <br />*APPROVAL OFAMENDED FINAL PAY REQUEST OF PALDA & SONS FOR <br />THE LITTLE CANADA ROAD IMPROVEMENT; <br />'~APPROVAI. OF THE VOUCHERS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (4) Anderson, Montour, Fahey, Scalze. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RUTZICK The City Attorney reported that the quick-take eminent domain hearing was <br />PROPERTY held on October 8°i, and the Court granted the City's petition and appointed the board <br />of commissioners which will determined the value of the property. <br />QUOTES The City Administrator recommended that the lowest responsible quote for <br />FOR demolition of 104 East Little Canada Road be awarded. Four quotes were <br />DEMOLITION received and ranged from $9,500 to $18,000. The Administrator reported that <br />OF 104 EAST the quotes will be reviewed to ensure compliance with specifications. <br />LITTLE <br />CANADA Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />ROAD <br />RE.S~OI,UTION NO. 2002-IO-234 -AWARDING THE LOWEST RESPONSI73LE <br />QUOTE FOR DEMOLITION OF 104 EAST LITTLE CANADA ROAD AS <br />RECOMMENDED BY THE CITYADMINIb`TRATOR <br />
