Residents can refer to this Plan to learn <br />about parks, open space, and trails in <br />Little Canada. <br />Planning Process <br />This Park System Plan updates the Little <br />Canada Park and Recreation Master Plan that <br />was originally adopted by the City in 1991 <br />and updated in 2009. The City gratefully <br />acknowledges the work of all who participated <br />in past and present park system planning efforts <br />in Little Canada. <br />The Parks and Recreation Commission met <br />with the City’s park planning consultant on a <br />regular basis to develop this Plan. The Parks <br />and Recreation Commission provided broad- <br />based representation of the community. The <br />City publicly noticed all meetings of the Parks <br />and Recreation Commission and the public and <br />media were welcome to attend the meetings. <br />On _______, the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission recommended that the City Council <br />approve a resolution directing the City to <br />distribute copies of the Plan to all applicable <br />neighboring and overlapping jurisdictions for <br />their review and comments. After the Parks and <br />Recreation Commission reviewed the submitted <br />comments, the Planning Commission held a <br />public hearing on _____ and recommended <br />that the City Council approve the Plan. On <br />_____the City Council passed a resolution <br />adopting the Plan contingent upon acceptance <br />of the Plan from the Metropolitan Council.
