<br />56 <br /> <br />minor collectors, with the main difference being the population density of the areas they serve. <br />Collectors can be excellent bicycle routes given their smaller size and connectivity to employment <br />and commercial centers. <br />Major collectors in Little Canada include portions of County Road 21, CR 139, Labore Rd, and <br />Arcade St. <br />Local Roads: Local roadways systems serve to provide access to quieter areas and individual <br />properties. Low speeds and narrow streets mean that these streets are not meant to carry major <br />traffic loads. These factors make them safer for pedestrian and bicycle trips as well. <br />The following map shows arterial and collector roadways, as well as current traffic volumes for <br />vehicles travelling along them. Interstate 35E had the highest traffic counts followed by Highway <br />36. Traffic volumes for minor arterials vary greatly. From over 20,000 along portions of County <br />Road 49, to around 3,600 at portions of County Road 58. <br /> <br />
