County Road B2 Viking_Drive Demont Connections
12.) 35E Pedestrian Bride at Demont Avenue
Sanders will check to see if any grants are available for the top priority ranked trails.
WALTER ST. Sanders reported that the contractor is almost finished with the in-shop work needed to
TRAIL complete the Walter Sheet Trail and they should be starting the outdoor work very soon.
OTHER Davis reported that the Active Living Ramsey County (ALRC) group meeting
she attended on May 15°i was different than what she expected. In general the
ALRC group creates and promotes environments that make it safe and convenient
for people to be more physically active, but the May 15"' meeting was primarily
focused on constructing bike trails within Ramsey County and how to connect
them between cities. It is focused on getting people involved in outdoor activities
working with health departments. The group meets once per month and their priority
is bike paths. She noticed Ramsey County is doing an impressive job on bike paths.
Every attendee talks about their own community. Davis stated she is on the email
listing so she will share any news from the Active Living Group in the future.
Maida thought it might be a good resource group to assist with grant writing. Davis
stated that we already have Sanders and Morelan as contacts with this group, so she
did not see that an additional person would be needed to attend their meetings.
ADJOURN Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by Steinwall, the meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
A group picture was taken after the meeting closed.
Respectfully submitted,
et L,
~~~~
Dotty Norgard
Recording Secretary
Page 3 of 3
