MINUTES
Parks & Recreation Commission
July 8, 2008
trail is completed. It was also determined that it was too late to coordinate a booth at Canadian
Days the first weekend in August.
Fahey inquired about the timing for the completion of the first priority trail. Sanders projected
that the timing could be the end of 2009.
Davis suggested that the Skate Park be promoted at Canadian Days. Fahey volunteered to talk
to the Little Canada Recreation Association President, Rick Boss, to suggest they have
promotional material in their tent during the Kitten-ball Tournament about the new Skate Park.
There was a discussion about how and when the minutes of the previous meeting should be
approved. Neis thought the minutes should not be printed or posted until they are approved at
the next business meeting. The recording secretary stated the city council and planning
commission minutes are printed and posted once the city administrator proofs them. If there are
any corrections to the minutes they are corrected at the next meeting. She also stated that
Morelan currently proofs each month's minutes prior to publication. It was suggested that the
recording secretary e-mail the minutes to each commissioner for their proofing before they are
put on the website for the general public to view. Both Maida and Chair Davis stated they
would like to proofread them prior to being published. Sanders commented that having each
commissioner proofing the minutes would delay the process of being published and stated he
liked the current procedure. The consensus was that the current procedure would remain in
effect.
ADJOURN Upon motion by Neis, seconded by Fleischhacker, the meeting was adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
Respectfully submitted,
~~
Dotty Norgard
Recording Secretary
