MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 23, 2008 <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY <br />PLANNER AS OUTLINED IN HIS REPORT DATED JULY 3, 2008 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2008-7-I78 -TABLING ACTION ON THE <br />VARIANCE TO ALLOW MORE THAN FOUR (4) STORAGE <br />CONTAINERS AT 53 WOODLYNAVENUE, ON-SITE AIR TEMP <br />UNTIL THE AUGUST 27, 2008 REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING <br />AND DIRECTING CITYSTAFFAND THE CITY PLANNER TO <br />PROVIDE A REPORT IDENTIFYING OPTIONS RELATIVE TO <br />THE NUMBER OR PERCENTAGE OF OUTDOOR STORAGE <br />CONTAINERS ALLOWED IN THE I-1 ZONING DISTRICT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />Mr. Blesener introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2008-7--179 -DEEMING THE APPLICATION <br />FOR VARIANCE TO ALLOW MORE THAN FOUR (4) STORAGE <br />CONTAINERS AT 53 WOODLYNAVENUE, ON-SITEAIR TEMP, <br />TO BE DENIED AT THIS TIME UNLESS THE APPLICANT SIGNS <br />A 60-DAY WAIVER ALLOW THE COUNCIL ADDITIONAL TIME <br />TO STUDY THE ISSUE, WITH THE DENIAL BASED ON THE <br />COUNCIL'S NEED FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONAS WELL <br />AS THE FACT THAT THE VARIANCE REQUEST DID NOT MEET <br />THE HARDSHIP STANDARDS PURSUANT TO THE ORDINANCE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Allan. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Planner indicated that a Text Amendment would be considered <br />during the August planning cycle relative to the number or percentage of <br />outdoor storage trailers allowed. After consideration is given to the Text <br />Amendment, the Variance request could be immediately considered by the <br />Council. <br />11 <br />
