MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JULY 23, 2008 *THAT THE VARIANCE IS NECESSARY IN ORDER TO PUT THE PROPERTY TO A REASONABLE USE; *THAT SITE CONDITIONS ARE CLOSE TO THE ZONING CODE INTENT FOR OPENAND OUTDOOR STORAGE; *THAT INTERNAL TURNING MOVEMENTS AND OTHER SITE CLEARANCES WOULD BE IMPEDED BY MOVING THE OUTDOOR STORAGE FURTHER INTO THE SITE; *THE OUTDOOR STORAGE MUST BE SCREENED FROM VIEW ALONG WOODLYNAVENUE AS PROPOSED IN THE LANDSCAPE PLAN SUBMITTED BY THE PROPERTY OWNER The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by McGraw. Ayes (3) Montour, McGraw, Allan. Nays (2) Keis, Blesener. Resolution declared adopted. CUP AND Mayor Blesener opened the Public Hearing to consider a Conditional INTERIM Use Permit allowing outdoor storage of miscellaneous equipment as USE PERMIT- well as an Interim Use Permit for off-site outdoor storage by On-Site 70 WOODLYN Sanitation (95 Woodlyn Avenue) to allow the storage of portable AVENUE- toilets at 70 Woodlyn Avenue. It was noted that the City Planner WAR-RON and the Planning Commission have recommended approval. The Fire COMPANY AND Marshal has recommended that a 20 foot fire access lane be maintained ON-SITE through the outdoor storage area. SANITATION Dave Holm, On-Site Sanitation, indicated that he would provide screening along Woodlyn Avenue on the west side of the building, screening the outdoor storage area from the street. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Keis, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was closed. Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTIONNO. 2008-7-I82 -APPROVING THE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ALLOWING THE OUTDOOR STORAGE OF MISCELLANEOUS EQUIPMENT AS REQUESTED BY WAR-RON COMPANY LOCATED AT 70 WOODLYNAVENUE, AS WELL AS AN INTERIM USE PERMIT FOR OFF-SITE OUTDOOR STORAGE 16
