MINUTES CITY COUNCIL JULY 23, 2008 BY ON-SITE SANITATION (95 WOODLYNAVENUE) TO ALLOW THE STORAGE OF PORTABLE TOILETS AT 70 WOODLYN AVENUE SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE CITY PLANNER AS O UTLINED IN HIS REPORT DATED JULY 3, 2008 AND THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE FIRE MARSHAL AS OUTLINED IN HIS REPORT DATED JULY 7, 2008 The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. Ayes (4) McGraw, Montour, Blesener, Keis. Nays (1) Allan. Resolution declared adopted. CONSENT Mr. Montour inrioduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: AGENDA RESOLUTIONNO. 2008-7-183 -APPROVING THE CONSENT AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: *APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS; *APPROVAL OFAPPLICATIONFOR EXEMPT RAFFLE PERMIT FOR NEXSTAR LEGACY FOUNDATION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Blesener. Ayes (5). Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. COMPRE- The City Planner reviewed the updated Comprehensive Plan draft. He HENSIVE noted that the Planning Commission will review this document at their PLAN August meeting. They tabled review in July given the length of their UPDATE agenda. The Planner reported that his office is currently integrating policy statements into the plan utilizing the City's goal setting material. Blesener pointed out a correction on page 20 of the plan. He also appreciated the City Planner's realistic population projections proposed in the plan, noting the significant amount of affordable housing that already exists in Little Canada. Blesener felt that Met Council's projections for Little Canada were uru•ealistic. He noted that the City is fully developed and has twice the amount of affordable housing as neighboring cities. The City Planner indicated that he will have discussions with Met Council staff on this issue as the plan progresses further. 17
