Partners
NER engages with other disability services providers in the area, shares information, best
practices, and mentorship opportunities within this networking group. Our team has mentored
staff at other member organizations and we have shared information about our systems to
support their efforts. Also, NER is a member of ARRM, a nonprofit association dedicated to the
advancement of community-based services that support people living with disabilities. We are
actively engaged through other areas of the community through Chamber of Commerce, job-
fairs, Vadnais Heights Economic Development Commission, and many more activities.
Project budget and fundraising
Our agency-wide budget is $10,656,089. We fund our activities through a mix of fees for service,
government funding, fundraising events and grants. Additional grant partners include the
Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation, Ray Edwards Memorial Trust, and the State Arts Board.
Our functional expense allocation is 12% management, 1% fundraising, and 87% programs.
Ultimately, all of our enhancements will increase the quantity and quality of care for the people
supported by NER’s services and offer caregivers peace of mind, knowing that their loved ones
are being cared for in an enriching environment while they attend to other family needs. The
fact is that infrastructure is one way in which we provide quality services but is harder to fund
through our reimbursement by the state.
We thank you for your interest in our organization and in this case our infrastructure need of a
new roof for our respite program.
I am happy to answer any questions you may have.
In partnership,
Heidi Holste
Executive Director
