<br /> <br /> STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />TO: Parks & Recreation Commission <br /> <br />FROM: Bryce Shearen, Parks & Recreation/Community Services Manager <br /> <br />DATE: March 29, 2019 <br /> <br />RE: Recreation Coordinator Hiring Update <br /> <br />Twenty-five applications for the Recreation Coordinator position were received. The posting ran <br />for 3-weeks from Friday, March 8 to Friday, March 29 at 4:30 p.m. The job advertisement was <br />posted in multiple locations including; League of Minnesota Cities job board, Minnesota <br />Recreation and Parks Association job board, Facebook, Ramsey County Commissioner Mary Jo <br />McGuire’s newsletter, and featured on the city’s website. <br /> <br />The next steps are: <br />• April 1-3 – Review and grade applications <br />• April 4-5 – Schedule interviews with potential candidates <br />• April 8-12 – Conduct the first round of interviews <br />• April 15-16 – Conduct a second round of interviews if needed <br />• April 18 – Have final candidate with offer and acceptance letter <br />• April 24 – Council approval <br />• April 25 – Potential start date after April 25 depending on the candidate. <br /> <br />Staff is looking forward to reviewing the applications and will provide an update at the May <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
