MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 27, 2019 <br />2018, the Fire Department also gave $8,700 to the City through the 10% <br />fund. <br />Chief Smiley and Assistant Chief Boss presented a check for $35,600 to <br />the City for the fire equipment fund. <br />The Council thanked the Fire Department for the donation. <br />CONSENT Fischer introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />AGENDA <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2019-2-26—APPROVING THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA WHICH CONTAINS THE FOLLOWING: <br />*APPROVAL OF THE VOUCHERS; <br />*APPROVE BUILDING INSPECTIONAGREEMENT WITH <br />INSPECTRON FOR CONTRACT SERVICES <br />*CALL FORA WORKSHOP ON MARCH 27, 2019 AT 6: 00 PM FOR <br />THE CITY A DMINIS TRA TOR REVIEW <br />*ACCEPT FEBRUARY 27, 2019 DONATION FROM THE LITTLE <br />CANADA FIRE DEPARTMENT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Montour. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PURCHASE CHIEF The City Administrator explained that the Fire Department has decided to <br />COMMAND purchase command vehicles for the Chiefs rather than them using their <br />VEHICLES FOR personal vehicles to respond to fire calls. He explained that insuring the <br />FIRE DEPARTMENT personal vehicles has become a problem after the Fire Chief s personal <br />vehicle was severely damaged on the freeway by a semi while he was <br />responding to a call, among other issues. <br />Chief Smiley stated that they are also finalizing a personal use policy for <br />the vehicles. Keis stated that the replacement schedule for these vehicles <br />will be decided in the future after they see how many miles get put on the <br />vehicles. Fischer stated that he feels this is the right thing to do as the fire <br />Chiefs should have right vehicles with markings and lights for their safety <br />when responding to calls. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION NO. 2019-2-27 — APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF 2 <br />FIRE CHIEF VEHICLES AND SAFETY EQUIPMENT <br />OUTFITTING TO BE PAID FROM THE FIRE EQUIPMENT FUND <br />2 <br />
