MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 27, 2019 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fischer. <br />Ayes (4). <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />RESOLUTION OF <br />The Planner stated that Northeast Residence is a business in Little Canada <br />SUPPORT FOR <br />that provides services for individuals with developmental disabilities at <br />NORTHEAST <br />410 Little Canada Road. She explained that they are in immediate need <br />RESIDENCE <br />for a new roof and are applying for a Community Development Block <br />APPLICATION FOR <br />'Grant through Ramsey County to secure funding for the repair. She stated <br />CDBG GRANT <br />that they are seeking a partnership with the City of Little Canada to show <br />our support of their efforts to obtain this funding, and have asked the City <br />Council to adopt a resolution of support to go along with their application. <br />She noted they will be applying for a grant for $25,000 and are not asking <br />the City for funds. <br />Heidi Holste, Executive Director of Northeast Residence, reviewed the <br />services they provide. She noted that their Little Canada building was <br />constructed in 2000 and the roof is damaged and at the end of its life. She <br />stated they will need be requesting $29,000 for a roof replacement and <br />additional insulation. <br />Keis introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019-2-28 —ADOPTING A RESOLUTION OF <br />SUPPORT FOR A NORTHEAST RESIDENCE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Torkelson. <br />Ayes (5). <br />Nays (0).
