2. Concrete Science laid out a very specific step-by-step process and advised us right away
on how this type of flooring should be done. This company seems to specialize in doing
this type of flooring.

3. After doing some digging, we came to the realization that the products being used for
these applications were different. SwedeBro is using a Sherwin Williams product
"Resuprime and Trafficote" while Concrete science is using the "EliteCrete" system
which we found to be a better, more durable product for a building such as the fire station
where there can be high volumes of foot traffic at times.

4. SwedeBro tends to specialize in epoxy flooring. They do metallic flooring but it does not
appear that they have the high volume of jobs that Concrete Science has in this
specialized “metallic flooring and designer concrete" field.

5. Concrete Science will be adding a 5th step to the process, which is an extra coat of
urethane over the top of the finished product, which we think is a good idea for a semi-
commercial building such as this.

6. The committee and other members on the department have seen firsthand, and have also
viewed hundreds of pictures, the product that Concrete Science puts out. We believe it is
amazing as to what they can do and specialize in. We feel more confident in the overall
process and completed product being proposed by Concrete Science and see value in the
longevity and quality of the flooring overall.

Upon approval of the CIP expenditure by the city, we will coordinate the work with the Kitchen
Remodel project. We would expect the project to be completed by mid-summer.

Thank you for your consideration.
