MINUTES UT T11E REGULAR MEE'T`ING <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />JUNE 14, 2001 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Planning <br />Commission of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the ]4'~' day of <br />hme, 2001 in the Cowicil Chambers of the City Center located at 515 <br />Little Canada Road in said City. <br />Chair John Keis called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the <br />following members of the Planning Commission were present at roll call: <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Mr. Scott Barraciough <br />Mr. Dennis Carson <br />Mr. Tom Duray <br />Mr. John I{eis <br />Mr. Dan I{nudsen <br />Mr. Thomas Roycraft <br />Mr. Tom Wojcik <br />A.L,SO PRI/SENT: <br />1VIr. Steve Grittman, City Planner <br />Ms. I{athy Glanzer, Deputy Cler(< <br />MINUTES The minutes of the May ] 0, 2001 Planning Commission meeting were <br />approved as submitted. <br />CUP Mr. Bud Philbrook, Global Volunteers, appeared before the Commission <br />AMENDMENT - requesting approval of an amendment to an existing CUP to expand a <br />375 E.:L,ITTLE commercial use by the construction of a storage building. Philbrook <br />CANADA ROAD - indicated that the storage building would be used for storage of off ce <br />GLOBAL, supplies and equipment as well as property maintenance equipment. <br />VOLUNTEERS Philbrook indicated that the garage would be placed about 1 S feet from the <br />existing parking lot, which is 5 feet in from the parking lot. He noted that <br />the parking lot is actually owned by St. John's Church, and Global <br />Volunteers has a 99-year lease to use the lot. <br />Philbrook reported that the shed is a pre-built structure that is 12 feet by <br />22 feet. It will have shingles and stucco siding that match the existing <br />building. 'The building will be located being the existing building. There <br />are a lot of trees and shrubs iu the area, therefore, the building will not be <br />very visible. <br />Philbrook expressed concern with the Planners recommendation that the <br />doors on the building be limited to service doors. He noted that the <br />building is pre-built and thought he might be limited as to the type of <br />doors the building comes with. The pictwe he presented to the <br />Commission showed aroll-up garage-style door on the structure. <br />
