MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />PARKS & RECREATION COMMISSION <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />June 7, 2001 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a regular meeting of the Parks & Recreation <br />Commission of the City of Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 7°i day of June, 2001 in <br />the Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road East in said City. <br />Chair Ginger Sackett Glaser called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. and the following <br />members of the Commission were present: <br />MEMBERS PRESENT: Ms. Ginger Sackett Glaser, Chair <br />Mr. James Broten <br />Mr. David Gray <br />Mr. Craig Larson <br />Mr. Kevin Steinert <br />MEMBERS ABSENT: Ms. Carla Horwath <br />Mr. Robert Schabacker <br />ALSO PRESENT: Mr. Joel Hanson, City Administrator <br />Mr. Bill Sanders, Park Consultant <br />Ms. Kris Pechman, Recording Secretary <br />MINUTES Gray reco»amended that the minutes from the meeting dated May 3, 2001 be approved as <br />submitted. <br />Motiorx seconded Gy Larson. <br />Motion carried 5 - 0. <br />PARK Sackett Glaser stated that she received an anonymous nomination for the "Park Citizen of the <br />CITIZEN Year" award offered by the Friends of the Parks and Trails. The person nominated is Pam <br />Carson, who is a resident of Little Canada living across from Lake Gervais on Edgerton <br />Street. The anonymous caller stated that Pam continually picks up litter at Gervais Beach <br />during the summer, and during the winter, she picks up litter left by ice fishermen. She also <br />spends her time at the lake teaching children how to fish. <br />Sackett Glaser asked for other nominations from the Commission. None were received. <br />Broten recommended that Little Canada resident Pam Carson Ge nominated as "Park <br />Citizen of the Year. " <br />Motion seconded by Gray. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
