MINUTT S <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 25, 2001 <br />DEVEI OPMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE NEW DE vELOPER WHO <br />LS INTERESTED IN THE SITE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Anderson. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, Anderson, Montour, LaValle, Sca7re. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />R. A. MOL2TON "Che Council reviewed the July T 9°i letter fi om Rinke Noonan and R. A. <br />LETTER Morton regarding the Rice Street/Little Canada Road property. The City <br />Administrator noted that the development agreement with Oppidan would be <br />assignable, and indicated that he would be comfortable informing R. A. <br />Morton that the City is proceeding with Oppidan at this time. if the situation <br />does not work out, the development agreement could be assigned to another <br />developer. <br />The City Administrator pointed out that when the City met with R. A. Morton <br />last April, the amount of assistance that the developer was seeking was <br />extremely high. 'T'he Administrator also pointed out that Oppidan came in with <br />their own perfonna for the project and there was no sharing of R. A. Morton's <br />information with other developers. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI UTIONNO. 2001-7--161 -A[ITKORIZING'TIIECII'Y <br />ADMINISTRATOR TO INFORM 2. A. fl9ORTON THAT THE CITY IS <br />PROCEEDING TO NEGOTIATE A DEVEI OPMENT AGREEMENT <br />WI"I'H OPPH)AN AT THLS TIME, 13UT YVOUI D REMAIN INTERESTED <br />IN ASb7GNING TFIE DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT TO R. A. <br />MORTON IN THE EVENT THE DEA/_ IS NOT CUI MINATED WITH <br />OPPIDAN <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Montour, Scalze, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />OPI'IDAN The City Administrator recommended that a special meeting be called <br />DI;VELOPMI;NT for'I"uesday, July 31" to review a development agreement with Oppidan. <br />AGR1;I;MCNT <br />
