MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 23, 2001 <br />PUBLIC Mayor Fahey opened the public hearing to consider allowing the <br />HEARING - construction of a 36 foot by 32 foot garage which exceeds the maximum <br />CUP FOR of 1,000 square feet in size as requested by Jim Cossack at 421 Eli Road <br />OVERSIZED Both the City Planner a<~d the Planning Commission have recommended <br />GARAGE - approval of the CUP. <br />421 ELI ROAD <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this <br />matter. <br />Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Montour, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RBSOI_DTIONNO. 2001-S-I08-APPROVINGA CONDITIONAL USE <br />PERMIT ALLOWING CONSTRUCTION OFA 3G FOOT ]3Y32 FOOT <br />GARA(iB AT 42l EI I ROAD AS RED UF.ST&D 13Y JIM COSSAC% <br />b`UB.IECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE IZECUMMENDATIONS OF <br />THE CITY PZ,ANNER AND THE PLANNING COMMISSION AND <br />SUBJECT TO THERE BEING NO ]3USINESS USB OF THIS GAR,4GE <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Montour, Anderson, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />PUBLIC Mayor .Fahey opened the public hearing to consider a Conditional Use <br />HEARING - Permit allowing commercial recreation (bocce ball) at a location that <br />CUP FOR serves alcoholic beverages, Gordies' Place, 20] Fast Little Canada Road, <br />BOCCE BALL - as requested by Dave Cossack. It was noted that Gordies' currently has <br />201 E. LITTLE CUP's allowing volleyball and boot hockey six days per week, three <br />CANADA ROAD - tournaments per year, with a stipulated quitting time of '10 p.m. Gordies' <br />GORDIES' PLACE is requesting bocce ball three nights per week with a quitting time of ] 0 p.m. <br />Fahey noted that the Planning Commission and City Planner have <br />recommended approval. <br />City staff also noted that Council's review this evening also includes athree- <br />year review oi'the existing CUP's for volleyball and boot hockey. <br />There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on this <br />matter. <br />Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Scalze the public hearing was closed. <br />
