iVIINUTUS <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MAY 23, 2001 <br />that approval of the plat with the cul-de-sacs as private streets allowed for <br />setbacks for the townhomes which would not have been allowed if the cul-de- <br />sacs had been platted as public. <br />Fahey agreed, and pointed out that now accepting this cul-de-sacs as public <br />would result in these setbacks being accepted indirectly when they would have <br />never been accepted directly. Fahey also pointed out that the issue of snow <br />storage on these small cul-de-sacs also makes him uneasy. <br />Scalze felt that accepting the Pitrina cul-de-sacs as public would be unfair to <br />taxpayers that developed their properties to City standards. <br />Anderson pointed out that the very issues being discussed tonight where <br />concerns the Council had at the tiule the plat was approved. At that time the <br />developer did not want the cul-de-sacs public so that he could place his <br />townhomes the way he did. <br />It was noted that there was no one present this evening to represent the Pitrina <br />Park Townhome Association. "Pherefore, rather than take action on the <br />request, it was the consensus of the Council to table action until the next <br />Council meeting should the Association wish to make a presentation to the <br />Council However, staff was directed to convey the feelings of the Council to <br />the Association. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption. <br />RE.SOL UTION NU. 2001-~-773 - TA73I INCi ACTION ON THE PITWNA <br />PARK TOWNHOME AS.S'OCIATION RED UB.S'T UNTIL THE NEa"I' <br />COUNCIL MEETING SHOULD T HF, ASSOCIATION W/SH TO MAKE A <br />PRESF_NTATION TO TITS COUNCIL. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. <br />Ayes (5) Fahey, LaValle, Montour, Scalze, Anderson. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />NO PARKING The Council reviewed the request of Bryan Montgomery of 90 Rosewood <br />ON ROSEWOOD Drive for the posting of the street as no parking adjacent to his lot due to <br />DRIVE the impact that the on street parking from the coffee shop is having on his <br />property. The Council indicated that the 1?ublic Works Director should prepare <br />a reporC on this request. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />
