MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />LITTLE CANADA, MINNESOTA <br />OCTOBER 10, 2001 <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof a special meeting of the City Council of <br />Little Canada, Minnesota was held on the 10'x' day of October, 2001 in the <br />Council Chambers of the City Center located at 515 Little Canada Road in said <br />City. <br />Mayor Michael I. Hanson <br />Mr. Tom Sweeney <br />Mr. Lee Elfering <br />Mr. Greg Schroeder <br />Ms. Kathy Glanzer <br />IMP. NO. Mayor Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider adoption of the <br />2001-OS - assessment roll for the Little Canada Road/McMenemy Street Parking <br />LITTLE Lot Improvement by pavement reconstruction, concrete curb and gutter, <br />CANADA and landscape treatments. <br />ROAD/ <br />McMENEMY The City Engineer reviewed project costs noting that feasibility estimates <br />ROAD were $80,350, actual costs were $68,412.63, and the City is proposing to <br />PARKING LOT assess $68,412.63. The Engineer reported that a total of five properties are <br />IMPROVEMENT proposed to be assessed, and reviewed the breakdown of that assessment. The <br /> Engineer explained the assessment payment options available to property <br /> owners, and noted that if assessments are not paid within the first 30 days after <br /> adoption, they are certified to Ramsey County for collection with property <br /> taxes. Certified assessments will be spread over aten-year period at a 6.75% <br /> interest rate. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this <br />matter. <br />Upon motion by Fahey, seconded by Scalze, the assessment hearing was <br />closed. <br />
