MINUTES CITY COUNCIL OCTOBER 24, 2001 ACCESSORY BUILDINGS Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2001- IO-240 - TAIILING ACTION ON THE AMENDMENT TO ZONING CODE RELATIVE TO ACCESSORY EUILDINGS PENDING A RECOMMENDATION FROM THE PLANNING COMMISSION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Anderson. Ayes (5) Fahey, Anderson, Montour, LaValle, Scalze. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. EXCEPTION The Council reviewed the County's request for an exception to the City's TO NOISE noise ordinance to allow construction work to occur on Sunday's from ORDINANCE January I, 2002 through May 1 I, 2002 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. as relates to the Arcade Street bridge project. The City Administrator noted that the County is currently bidding the project and would like to offer contractors the option of working on Sunday's in order to speed up the project. However, the County feels it is unlikely that a contractor would take advantage of this option given issues with payment of overtime. It was noted that the Arcade Street bridge is located in the City of Maplewood, and Maplewood will also go through a process for considering an exception to their noise ordinance. There was no one from the general public present wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by Scalze, seconded by Fahey, the public review was closed. Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOI. UTION NO. 2001-I 0-247 -GRANTING AN EXCEPTION TO TFIE CITY'S NOISE ORDINANCE ALI OWING CONSTRUCTION RELATED TO THE ARCADE STREET I3RID(iE PRO.IECT TO OCCUR ON SUNDAY'S` FROM JANUARY I, 2002 THROUGH MAY 11, 2002 IIETWEEN THE HOURS OF 9 A.M. AND 7 P.M. The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by LaValle. Ayes (5) Scalze, LaValle, Montour, Fahey, Anderson. Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted.
