MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 24, 2001
report on the issues, identifying properties of concern, and a course of action
for addressing these properties from a priority standpoint.
Fahey noted that the recent fire referenced by Scalze involved the burning of
plastic parts that were being stored on the property. He pointed out that there
are residential fires that occur that distribute hazardous materials given the
common things that are utilized in a home. Fahey stated that his concern
centered around the location of the tower, are the businesses in the area in
compliance with City codes, and is there adequate access to these businesses.
Fahey suggested that staff look at the issues and bring a report back to the
Council. Upon receipt of the report, the Council can decide whether or not a
workshop meeting is necessary.
The City Administrator indicated that based on the efforts of the Fire Marshal
and Code Enforcement Official the condition of these properties has improved.
However, a report will be prepared and based on the Council's review and the
direction it would like to take, there may be the need for a redirection of
priorities.
ADJOURN Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption:
RESOLUTION NO.
