Rosvold reported that Metro Transit has held
four open houses, three public hearings, and many meetings with city,
county, and state officials to discuss their proposals. Rosvold reported
that Metro Transit's goals are to simplify their route network and increase
ridership. Rosvold pointed out that one of the considerations in route
changes is the amount of ridership within a quarter mile.
Scalze pointed out the proposed change that effects the Grand Pre'
Apartment and Canabury Condos and noted that the bus route along Rice
Street is more than a quarter of a mile away from this heavily populated
area.
