MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />FEBRUARY 23, 2000 <br />METRO The City Administrator reviewed a proposed resolution that encourages <br />TRANSIT Metro Transit to provide rush hour service to the Demont/County Road B- <br />2area as well as supports the development of a transit hub and park and <br />ride lot in the vicinity of the Market Place Shopping Center. The Council <br />held a workshop meeting prior to this evening's regular meeting at which <br />these items were discussed. <br />Mrs. Scalze introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-2-50 -ADOPTING THE RESOL UTION <br />DRAFTED 13Y THE CITYADMINISTRATOR REQUESTING THAT <br />METRO TRANSIT CONSIDER THE CONTINUATION OF RUSH <br />HOUR I3US SERVICE TO THE DEMONT/COUNTYROAD 73-2 <br />AREA AS WELL AS DEVEI OPMENT OF A TEMPORARY TRANSIT <br />IZU13 AND PARK AND RIDE I OT IN THE VICINITY OF THE <br />MARKET PLACE SHOPPING CENTER <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (4) Scalze, Pedersen, Morelan, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />WEIGHT The Public Works Director reported that weight restrictions will go on <br />RESTRICTIONS City streets on Friday, February 25'x'. <br />ON CITY <br />STREETS <br />ADJOURN Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2(10(1-2-SI -AD.IOURNING <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Fahey. <br />Ayes (4) Morelan, Fahey, Scalze, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0).
