MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />MARCH 22, 2000 <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (2) Morelan, Scalze, <br />Nays (1) LaValle. Resolution declared adopted. <br />LIQUOR The Council reviewed the staff's recommendation to call for a public <br />LICENSE hearing to consider increasing the On-Sale Liquor and On-Sale Wine <br />INCREASES license fees. Mr. LaValle stated that liquor license fees are a form of <br />taxation and he would need to see justification for the license fee increase. <br />He requested that City staff obtain reports from the Sheriff's Department <br />on the number of calls at each of the City's liquor establishments. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 200(1-3-7K -CALLING FOR A PU137.IC <br />HEARING ON WEDNESDAY, APRII.26, 2000 AT 7:30 P.M. Resolution declared adopted. <br />TWIN LAKE The City Administrator reported that he has not received a response from <br />PINES - the City of Vadnais Heights relative to the joint powers agreement for the <br />JOINT Twin Lake Pines development. It was the consensus of the Council to <br />POWERS reserve discussion of this matter until the City has comments back from <br />AGREEMENT Vadnais Heights. <br />MAY & JUNE Scalze directed staff to schedule discussion relative to the rescheduling of <br />COUNCIL the May and Tune City Council meetings until the April 12°i Council <br />MEETINGS meeting. <br />LITTLE Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />CANADA ROAD/ <br />McMENEMY RESOLUTIONNO.
