MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JUNE 13, 2000 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-6-144 -DENYING THE AMENDMENT TO <br />THE ZONING CODE TO AI.L OW PUBLIC SCHOOLS AS A <br />CONDITIONAL. USE IN THE RESIDENTIAL. BUSINES (RB) <br />ZONING DISTRICT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Scalze, Fahey, Pedersen. <br />Nays (1) Morelan. Resolution declared adopted. <br />CONDITIONAL Fahey opened the Public Hearing to consider the application of Family <br />USE PERMIT - Academy for a Conditional Use Permit to allow the operation of a public <br />433 LITTLE charter school at 433 Little Canada Road. Fahey noted that the Planning <br />CANADA ROAD - Commission recommended denial given their recommendation for <br />FAMILY rezoning the property to Public. Fahey further noted that given the <br />ACADEMY tent amendment allowing public schools as a conditional use in the RB <br /> District failed, this is now a mute point. <br />There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on <br />this matter. <br />Upon motion by Morelan, seconded by LaValle, the public hearing was <br />closed. <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOL UTION N0. 2000-6-145 -DENYING THE APPLICATION <br />FOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO OPERATE A PUBLIC <br />CHARTER SCHOOL IN THE RESIDENTIAL BUSINESS ZONING <br />DISTRICT AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 433 L ITTLE <br />CANADA ROAD <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, LaValle, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />AMEND COMP The Council discussed the proposed amendment to the Comprehensive <br />PLAN AND Plan as well as the Zoning Code relating to allowed uses and site plan <br />ZONING CODE - requirements in the City's Redevelopment District No. 3-2, Rice Street <br />DISTRICT and Little Canada Road. Fahey noted that the Planning Commission <br />NO.3-2 has recommended approval. <br />
