MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 26, 2000 <br />*APPROVAI.OF AFIREWORKS PERMIT FOR CANADIAN DAYS; <br />*ADOPTION OF THE 1999 A UDIT RECOMMENDATIONS; <br />*APPROVAL OF FINAL PAYMENT TO ELECTRIC SERVICE <br />COMPANY FOR PIONEER PARK LIGHTING AS RECOMMENDED <br />I3Y THE CITYSTAFF; <br />*APPROVAI, OF THE VOUCHERS <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Scalze. <br />Ayes (5) Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, LaValle, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />SETBACK The City Planner reviewed his report dated July 21, 2000 regarding <br />ISSUES setback requirements adjacent to property that is considered to be <br />undevelopable. The Planner indicated that with the exception of one city, <br />there is no provision for a reduced setback. Most cities have considered <br />this matter on a case-by-case basis and allow for a reduced setback where <br />determined appropriate. <br />LITTLE The City Administrator reported that the agreement with Ramsey County <br />CANADA relative to the Little Canada Road improvement has been finalized. Work <br />ROAD on the street portion, of the project should begin next week with the first <br />IMPROVEMENT lift of pavement in pace by the end of September provided that work in <br />burying the powerlines is coordinated appropriately. The street amenities <br />portion of the improvement will be rebid this fall. <br />Scalze noted the discussion with the Park & Recreation Commission <br />relating the outlet to the pond as it relates to the old pump house. The City <br />Administrator reported that the City Engineer has indicated that because of <br />the depth of the sanitary sewer in this area, it is not possible to move the <br />outlet. The Administrator also noted that the Engineer is working on a <br />change order to add the path near the Lakeside Apartments. <br />Scalze asked about upgrading the outlet to make it fit in better with the <br />amenities proposed for this area. The Public Works Director reported that <br />the area will be riprapped with some large rocks. However, the grate will <br />still be in place as a safety feature. <br />NO PARKING The Council reviewed the Public Works Director's recommendation for <br />ON ROSEWOOD no parking on Rosewood Drive. <br />DRIVE <br />
