MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 9, 2000 <br />Mayor Fahey acknowledged a letter received from the Canabury Condo <br />Association thanking the City for the greatjob that was done with regard <br />to a tree removal project. <br />The Council thanked the Canadian Days Committee for the great job they <br />did this past weekend with the Canadian Days Celebration. <br />SETBACK Given the need for a conditional use permit for the accessory building <br />VARIANCE - proposed by Mr. Valento at 3179 Spruce Street and based on Mr. <br />3179 SPRUCE Valento's absence this evening, the consensus was to table action on this <br />STREET - variance application until the August 23, 2000 Council meeting. <br />DON VALENTO <br />Mr. Pedersen introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI. Resolution declared adopted. <br />APPOINTMENT Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />OF ELECTION <br />JUDGES RESOI. UTION NO. 2000-8-182 -APPOINTING, ELECTION JUDGES <br />FOR THE SEPTEMBER 12, 2000 PRIMARYAS RECOMMENDED <br />13Y CITY STAFF <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (3) Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />FILL & GRADING The Public Works Director reported that he has reviewed the fill and <br />PERMIT - grading permit received for Keller Parkway property located adjacent <br />KELLER to the ditch as well as the permit which was granted by the Ramsey- <br />PARKWAY - Washington Watershed District. The Director pointed out that the <br />KERR total excavation and fill is approximately 4,000 cubic yards. The proposal <br />is to fill in a portion of the wetland area that the Watershed has determined <br />to be acceptable. The Director recommended approval of the fill and <br />grading permit. <br />
