MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />AUGUST 9, 2000 <br />Mr. Morelan introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-8-183 -APPROVING THE GRADING AND <br />FII,I. PERMIT FOR 6XX KEI.I.ER PARKWAYAS REQUESTED BY <br />LARRYAND DENISE KERR SUBJECT TO THE <br />RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PUBI IC WORKS DIRECTOR AND <br />THE RAMSEY-WASHINGTON WATERSHED DISTRICT <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (3) Morelan, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />LITTLE The City Administrator submitted an agreement with the County for <br />CANADA maintenance of traffic control signals at the intersection of Rice Street <br />ROAD and Little Canada Road. The Administrator reported that the agreement <br />IMPROVEMENT is typical of others that the City has entered into in the past for <br />maintenance of signals as well as the opticom system on the signals. The <br />Administrator recommended approval. <br />Mr. Fahey introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTIONNO. 2000-8-184-APPROVING THE AGREEMENT <br />WITH RAMSEY COUNTY FOR MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC <br />CONTROL. SIGNALS AND EVP b"YSTEM FOR THE <br />INTERSECTION OF RICE .STREET AND LITTLE CANADA ROAD <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITYADMINISTRATOR <br />TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON 73EHAL F OF THE CITY <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. <br />Ayes (3) Fahey, Morelan, Pedersen. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />The City Administrator reported that the private utility contractors for gas, <br />electric, and telephone are currently working to upgrade and relocate <br />services along Little Canada Road from Rice Street to County Road C. <br />Palda & Sons will begin road work approximately August 215` when the <br />utility work has been completed. Palda & Sons has requested a substantial <br />completion date of October 20°i for the road reconstruction. Given the <br />delays that the City caused in finalizing its agreement with Ramsey <br />County, the City Administrator felt that the completion date was <br />acceptable. The City Administrator also suggested that anyone with <br />questions regarding the road project should contact the City Center. <br />
