MINUTES CITY COUNCIL AUGUST 23, 2000 the accessory garage replaces a chicken coop. He also noted the limited exposure that the garage has, the fact that the lot is on a private road which is also owned by the Tacheny's. Fahey felt that based on the reasons outlined by the Planning Commission, the placement of the accessory garage as proposed was justified. Fahey stated that while he was reluctant to grant variances, he felt this situation was unique. Morelan asked about locating the garage west of the house. Tacheny pointed out that there is a significant drop in grade on this side of the property. Locating the garage here would significantly impact drainage causing run-off on his neighbor's lot. There was no one present from the general public wishing to comment on this matter. Upon motion by LaValle, seconded by Morelan, the public hearing was closed. Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: RESOLUTION NO. 2000-8-191-APPROVINGA CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT ALLOWING TOTAL GARAGE SPACE OF APPROXIMATELY 1,300 SQUARE FEET FOR 743 EAST COUNTY ROAD B-2 AS REQUESTED 13Y MR. AND MRS TACHENY SUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey. AND MR TACHENYSUBJECT TO COMPLIANCE WITH THE RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Morelan. Ayes (5) LaValle, Morelan, Scalze, Pedersen, Fahey.
