MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 11, 2000 <br />Fahey pointed that the City's position was impact on businesses was going <br />to be kept at a minimum. He pointed out that the issue of the distance of <br />the curb cut from the intersection had been discussed previously, and the <br />distance was to be worked out between the property owner and the City <br />Engineer and City Administrator. Pedersen pointed out that the discussion <br />was that the distance may be non-conforming and a slight deviation from <br />the Code. <br />Morelan stated that his recollection is that the City Engineer and property <br />owner agreed that a 60 foot distance from the intersection was workable. <br />Scalze stated that she wanted to go on record objecting to the curb cut <br />being located 45 feet from the intersection. Morelan agreed. <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2000-10-249 -RATIFYING THE CITY <br />ENGINEER'S AND CITY ADMINISTRATOR',S' ACTION <br />ALLOWING A CUR73 CUT FOR THE VENETIAN INN PROPERTY <br />ON LITTLE CANADA ROAD 45 FEET FROM THE INTERSECTION <br />OF RICE STREET <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (3) LaValle, Pedersen, Fahey. <br />Nays (2) Morelan, Scalze. Resolution declared adopted. <br />CENTERVILLE The City Administrator reported that City staff has checked into the <br />ROAD TRAIL relocation of power poles and fire hydrant along Centerville Road as a <br />result of the trail work that was recently done. As a result, it is the <br />recommendation of City staff that the hydrant be eliminated as it is not <br />necessary in this location. Also, there will be some cost from NSP to <br />relocate the power poles. <br />The Administrator reported that the County has asked for input on their <br />plans for reconstruction of Centerville Road in 2001. This construction <br />may impact the relocation of the power poles, and this work will be <br />coordinated with the County. <br />TRAIL WORK Morelan asked about trail work that was to be done as part of the Little <br />Canada Road improvement project. The City Administrator reported that <br />the sidewalk work will be done as part of the amenity portion of the <br />13 <br />
