MINUTES <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />OCTOBER 25, 2000 <br />WORKSHOP Mr. LaValle requested that the Council receive a copy of the Public Works <br />ON PUBLIC garage study at least a week before the workshop meeting. The City <br />WORKS Administrator indicated that the report is being finalized, and it will be <br />GARAGE submitted to the Council as much in advance as possible. <br />STUDY <br />Mr. LaValle introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />RESOI UTION NO. 2000-] 0-259 -CAI LING A WORKSHOP ON THE <br />PUBLIC WORKS GARAGE STUDY FOR WEDNESDAY, <br />NOVEM73ER 8, 2000 AT 6 P.M. <br />The foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Pedersen. <br />Ayes (4) LaValle, Pedersen, Scalze, Fahey. <br />Nays (0). Resolution declared adopted. <br />BIAGINI The City Administrator reported that the development agreement with Mr. <br />DEVELOPMENT Dick Biagini, RAB, LLC is in due to a number of factors. He <br />AGREEMENT indicated that there are a couple of options which will resolve the default <br />situation such as either making the land available to other developers or <br />continuing to work with RAB. The City Administrator reported that if the <br />Council chooses to continue working with RAB, there are several points <br />outlined in his memo dated October 20th that should serve as the basis of a <br />revised development agreement. <br />Mr. Biagini reported that he is in agreement with the recommendations <br />made by the City Administrator for a revised development agreement. <br />Mr. Biagini asked the Cowtcil for concept approval of a development <br />proposal he has for the Country Drive property. Mr. Biagini described this <br />proposal in detail to the Council, pointing out that he is proposing to <br />construct a warehouse facility for a grocery delivery business. He <br />reported that grocery shipments would come into the facility, would be <br />divided into the individual orders and then delivery directly from the Little <br />Canada location to the customer. <br />Biagini pointed out that the exterior of the building will have an office- <br />style appearance. He also noted that there will be no overnight outdoor <br />storage of vehicles on the property, and vehicles will be stored in the <br />warehouse. Biagini reported that the construction of the building will be <br />such that should the grocery delivery business relocate, the building could <br />be converted to office/warehouse or strictly office. <br />Scalze indicated that she never supported the proposal fora 50/50 split of <br />office/warehouse use on the site.
