MINUTES Parks & Recreation Commission September 7, 2000 completing the City's trail connections. The City Administrator indicated that the Commission should budget separately for the connections. Sackett Glaser stated that the Nadeau Park Observation Area and the Rushes of Gervais ,Boardwalk items should be postponed since there is no public pressure to complete them. Instead, the Commission should focus on completing the McNamara Park or the Round Lake Park. Anderson agreed. Instead of listing amenities separately for each park, the Commission felt there should be a "General Park Amenities" category. The Commission also wanted to change the "Shoreview/Vadnais Heights Trail Connection" category to "Trail Connections" since they were going to concentrate on completing all of the existing trails within the City. They felt that the "MN ReLeaf Program" should be budgeted for once every three years. The Director stated that the $5,000 budgeted in 2002 and 2003 for bleachers could be eliminated due to donations that he has appropriated.
