MINUTES <br />Parks & Recreation Commission <br />November 2, 2000 <br />tROJECTS The projects update is as follows: <br />UPDATE <br />• Bids on the Gervais Mill Park site amenities have been received and the low bidder was <br />Switzer's Nursery in the amount of $12,675. Sanders was unsure if they would begin <br />work this year. The Director stated staff is evaluating the possibility of undertaking <br />portions of this project. <br />DIRECTOR'S The Director reported on the following: <br />REPORT <br />• All three 55 Alive Driving Classes offered this month are full. These classes are very <br />popular. <br />• Fifteen youth basketball teams were recently formed. Practice begins on November 13. <br />Basketball is offered to children in grades 3-8. <br />TERMS The Director reminded Gray and Schabacker that their terms will expire on December 31. <br />He encouraged them to re-apply.
