MINUTF,S
Parks & Recreation Commission
December 7, 2000
Anderson felt that it is the City Council's responsibility to decide if streets should or should
not have on-street parking. The Commission s}nnpathized with the residents'
point of view, but felt that the issue should be reconsidered by the City Council, not the
Commission.
TRAIL Sanders stated that he did not have anything to report on the trail connection from Jackson
CONNECTION Street to the Water Works. The Director stated that a land survey was requested. He will
check with the Public Works Director on the status of this issue.
TRAIL, Anderson stated that at the last Commission meeting, the Commission recommend that City
SYSTEM staff start the process of acquiring property to complete the City's trail system. Anderson
asked if NSP and Masterpiece Homes were contacted by City staff The Director was
unsure, but would follow up with the City Administrator.
Sanders stated that a grant application will be submitted in January for all of the City's big
trail connections.
/ACKSON ST.
