United States intoxica.ti.ng retail <br />liquor stamp had been purchased. by Ralph Kolbe for use at this <br />ad.clress in July of 1953 and that under the late of the State of <br />A;inneeota. no license for 3.2 beer can be issued where this type <br />of stamp is di.~,played. Tl:e Mayor also stated that such a retail. <br />stamp is not transferable nor is it subject to voluntary cancel.- <br />1a.tion. For tl~e reason that it would be unla.zaful. to issue a <br />license, tn.e I~4ayor recoounended. and rea.uested that the Council <br />vote to deny Nir. Andrezr! Kelbe's application for license. Upon <br />motion by Spooner, seconded by Vi.ta.le, it was <br />"RESOL~,rL'D, 1;hat the license appll.ed for by <br />Andrew Kolbe be and is hereby denied." <br />The roll being ca]_1ed, there vzere Ayes 4, spays U, and 1 vote not <br />being cast as follows; <br />Mayor L. The Clerk ad.vi.sed the <br />Council that upon investigation of ?'hole's application, he had <br />contacted the Sheriff's office a.nd was advised that the Sheriff's <br />office had no record of any r. ea son why ".:'hole should be denied a. <br />license.
