Loeffler Na,y <br />So th.e resolution was adopted. <br />The next matter of business before the Council z•?ns the <br />discussion of t;he number of complaints being received from the <br />teachers at the schools concerning doges which ar.e causing a nui- <br />sance. Tt eras pointed. out that when d.vgs a.re running at large <br />they congregate about the schools in. large numbers interferi.n€; <br />with use of the playgrounds and causing trouble fcr both the <br />children and the tcac.hers. TJpon motion by Vitale, seconded by <br />Loeffler, it wras <br />"RESOLVED, that tyre Vi1.lage pay the police <br />officers at th.e rate of Seventy--five Cents (75~) <br />per hour. for answering call<s from the schools <br />and for sur,h vaork. as they do in :removing the <br />dogs from the school yards.° <br />Eyes - 5 Nays - O <br />So the resolution r,1a.s adopted. <br />The Clerk read. a. letter from Harry Eronson, County <br />Engineer, referring to the work necessary in compi7_ing highv*a,y <br />a.nd street information for the Minnesota State Highv~ray Committee <br />vai.th:ln the V111age of Little Canada. Tn Nr. Bronson's letter <br />he offered to do this work for th.e vi7..lage for a cost not tc ex- <br />ceed 02,5.00, when he finished .re<^,ding the letter the Clerk went <br />on to Inform the Council. that Mr. Car.7.ey, the Vill.a.ge Engineer, <br />had recommF:nded to the Clerk tl`iat the Council. instruct, h?r, Bron- <br />son, the County Engineer., to do the ~.nork because a. top limit of <br />ti~?5.00 would be a very reasonable e,:pense a.nd D4r. Carley could <br />hardly do it for that.
