MINUTES OF THE MEETING <br />OF THE VILLAGE COUNCII;~ OF THE <br />VILLAGE OF LITTLE CANADA <br />iF iE iF 3F iF iF iF iF <br />The regular meeting of the Council of the Village of Lit- <br />tle Canada was held at the Little Canada Fire Station on Tuesday, <br />April 6, 1954 at 7;30 P.M. <br />The roil being called by the Cler};., all members were re- <br />ported present. <br />The minutes of the March meeting were approved as read. <br />ifr. Charles Broulet of 393 East Eli Road requested that a <br />street light be installed at the intersection of Centerville Road <br />and Eli. Mr. Broulet was informed tl~ia.t since the Centerville Road <br />is a county road the street lights are inatalled and maintained. by <br />the county and. that therefore, Mr. Broulet should. present his request <br />to the county board. <br />Mr. Paul Holmstrom, constable a.nd village police officer, <br />info.rrned the Council that .he ha.s been getting numerous requests frwm <br />the teachers at the public school concerning the nuisance created by <br />large numbers of dogs around the schoolyard. He said he had been <br />asked by the school principal if anything is going to be done to <br />adopt an ordinance for the control of dogs. He reported further that <br />he had checked the school grounds occasionally a.nd. that he had found <br />only one dog in the schoolyard. <br />Mr. R. Egan of 65 Viking Drive, together with his wife, re- <br />quested that street signs be placed at Viking Drive and Highway #36, <br />also at Rice Street and. Highway X36 on the Northeast corner of that <br />intersection. Upon motion by Spooner, seconded by Loeffler, it was <br />"RESOLVED, that the Clerk request the <br />County Board and County Engineer to place <br />street signs at the points requested by the <br />Egans." <br />Ayes - 5 Nays - 0 <br />The resolution was adopted. <br />Mr. Richard M111ette of Hendry place requested that street <br />signs be erected a.t the points where Henry Place intersects Burr <br />Street and also where Hendry Place intersects Highway Drive since it <br />was impossible fo,~ delivery men to find Hendry Place. He a.1 so .re- <br />quested a'tliking Drive" street sign to be placed at the paint on High- <br />way }~36 where the service road on the South side of the highway be- <br />tween McMenemy Road and a point eight hundred feet East of McMenemy <br />Road, enters I-Iighway #36. tTpon motion by Nadeau, seconded. by Vitale, <br />3.t was <br />
